Revisions to the beta website today:
–Biggest update: We are testing a new policy of hiding all comments unless you are logged in as a Higher Education Institution. All users (including agencies) should be able to see the total number of stars however.
-Membership level has been changed from “University” to “Higher Education Institution” to include language schools, community colleges, and universities under the same bracket.
-Addresses for about 70 agencies have been updated (wherever possible) to show better accuracy on the map
-A space for the map address has been added so that it’s visible to users in case you’d like to add it to your own travel itinerary notes
-Phone numbers with country codes have been added wherever possible
-A section on the agency page where other locations can be listed has been added (for example, main office is in the USA but their geographical areas are Asia and Middle East)

-A calendar has been embedded in the resource section to easily see what’s going on at any point in the year (please contribute to the calendar!)

Our focus over the next week will be testing on streamlining the registration process, testing logons and privacy settings, and trying to merge Events onto the individual Listings, rather than having each event listed separately. This may not be possible for now until the WordPress Theme comes out with an update, but we’ll do our best to make sure the Fairs/Events listings are a bit easier to find.
We’ve had some requests for advanced sort features such as sorting by date of establishment or alphabetically. This isn’t possible right now but we will keep on searching for solutions to these requests.
Thank you for all the great suggestions!
